The ReStore is a social retail enterprise which receives donations of new and gently used building materials, home furnishings, appliances and the like. Net proceeds of the ReStore are utilized to offset all operational costs of the Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton affiliate. The success of our ReStore locally has meant that Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton has been able to channel 100% of mortgage revenues, corporate, community and individual donations into our home build programs. Beyond its pivotal role in our sustainable business model, the ReStore plays an important role in environmental stewardship by actively re-cycling, re-purposing and diverting tons of materials from landfill annually.

Donate Your Time

While the ReStore has 11 staff, there is always room for volunteers. We could not fully operate without the more than 125 volunteers who assist us annually. They're the lifeblood of the store—working in the warehouse, workshop, on the sales floor, or at cash. We are deeply grateful for their time and support.

Donate Your Empties

Mondays to Saturdays, 9am to 5pm you will find the Empties Bin right out front of the ReStore Sarnia Doors. We are accepting beer, wine & liquor bottles and pop cans. A one stop scenario, drop off your empties that are in your trunk and make room for your purchases at the ReStore! As always, all donations collected will go directly towards our Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton home builds.

Recycle Your E-Waste and Scrap Metal

Don't dump it—donate it! If it plugs in, we'll take it. Dead or alive! We accept tv's, monitors, computers and their accessories, printers, phones, stereos, cameras... basically anything, scrap metal included! All of these items are safely recycled in-province, rather than shipped overseas.

Note: please drop off your electronics & scrap metal at our store Monday to Saturday 9am-5pm. No pickups.
