Welcome

Habitat for Humanity brings communities together to help families build strength, stability & independence through homeownership.

No matter who you are or where you come from, Habitat Sarnia/Lambton believes everyone deserves a safe and decent place to call home.  Habitat - with the help our our corporate, community and coonstruction partners - is working hard to improve our community by providing affordable homeownership as a housing option for families in Sarnia and Lambton County.  We don't give homes away.  Once built, our Habitat homes are sold to local families for a $0-down, 0%-interest, 20-year, Habitat-held mortgage with geared-to-income monthly payments.  By providing this "hand-up", we take families from social or socially assisted housing and help them to become taxpayers.

Habitat homeownership not only transformationally changes the lives of local families ... but helps to make our community stronger.  Because of the support and generosity of our community, Habitat Sarnia/Lambton has moved more than 50 families into homeownership since starting in 1994.

The Board of Directors and staff of Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton are committed to preventing occupational illness & injury in the workplace & will make it our top priority.  All supervisors, workers & volunteers must be dedicated to the continuing objective of minimizing risk of injury. Commitment to health & safety must form an integral part of this organization, from the president to the volunteers. Please see our Health & Safety Policy Statement
