What's New At Habitat

County & Habitat for Humanity Launch Innovative Pilot Projects

The County of Lambton and Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton have teamed up to launch two pilot porjects designed to increase and enhance the local supply of affordable housing while opening doors to other opportunities for local Ontario Works' clients through community involvement.
The projects include a home building project comprised of volunteers in receipt of Ontario Works, Habitat personnel, and other community volunteers which will break ground in the spring of 2016.  The other project, Habitat Handyman is scheduled to begin in January 2016 and will offer low-cost, basic home maintenance and repair to low income indivuduals and families who may be at risk of housing instability or even homelessness if repairs are not completed.
