Habitat for Humanity is an international, non-profit, non-governmental, faith-based organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing and to making adequate, affordable housing a matter of conscience and action.

Habitat for Humanity invites people from a broad spectrum of social, ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds to work in partnership with us to build both homes and hope for families in need.

Faith Build 2015 - #FaithBuildSL
Fundraising Event

Join us Friday, May 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Trinity Anglican Church for a delicious Hip of Beef Au Jus dinner with Yorkshire Pudding.  There will be a silent auction (with some very interesting auction items) and musical entertainment.  Tickets are only $20.00 and are available from Trinity Anglican Church (1194 Murphy Road, Sarnia).  Call 519-542-9261 or email trinity@trinity.sarnia.net for more details!  All funds raised will go toward the Faith Build!  Can't attent?  Click to donate to the Trinity Carpenters for Christ Faith Build Team who are putting on this wonderful event!

Also happening  from 7:00 till 9:00 on Friday, May 29th is the Habitat House Party at theStory - 179 Christina Street North!  @theStory is hosting a family ance party with a craft market, baked goods and a silent art auction!  All proceeds raised will go to support the #FaithBuildSL!  Admission is just $10 - but make sure you bring money with you!  You don't want to miss out on some of these great items!

Affiliate of the Year!
Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton recognized for accomplishments

Congratulations to the team at Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton who were recently recognized for their efforts and awarded the Small Urban Affiliate of the Year Award at the Habitat for Humanity Canada National Conference held in Fredericton, NB.  This award is given to the affiliate who has seen success at all levels - including the ReStore and the Build Program.  Thank you to all the volunteers who helped us reach our goals in 2014 and who continue to make us a centre of excellence

The team was also recognized for their outstanding commitment to international activity, thanks to our Home for a Home program.

When you donate to the ReStore you are eligible for an income tax receipt for items valued at $75 or more?  If you are moving, renovating or just need to downsize, consider donating your gently used furniture, area rugs, lighting, cabinets and building materials to the ReStore!  Call 519-339-7957 x0 today to set up a pick-up - or simply bring your items to the store!  Our staff and volunteers are happy to help you unload the donations from your vehicle!  Donations can be dropped off any time during regular store hours.

Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton is looking for families throughout Sarnia and Lambton County.  We don't give homes away.  We work with corporate, community and construction partners along with a team of dedicated volunteers to build our homes.  We then sell them to deserving families like yours.  Interested?  Get more information here or talk to Sarah at 519-339-7957 x 222.

Last year, Habitat for Humanity generated $39 million worth of social good in Canada

A report released May 26, 2015 demonstrates the social benefit of Habitat's homeownership program in Canada.
