Habitat Sarnia/Lambton received national recognition winning a Housing Innovation award at Habitat for Humanity Canada’s national conference in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
The award was for the Guthrie Drive Seniors Build, a seniors-only multiplex featuring five private, 975 square foot units. It was the first purpose-built affordable seniors housing undertaken by a Habitat affiliate in Canada.
David Waters, Habitat Sarnia/Lambton CEO:
“We don’t do this for awards. We do what we do, to give people the opportunity to live or stay in a decent, safe, affordable home.”
