Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton was honoured to be part of the The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton’s 26th annual Day of Caring. On September 10th, over 240 volunteers from 29 local community companies helped at 50 locations, looking after those in our community that needed it the most.

Pamela Bodkin, Event Organizer, commented that 72% of jobs done were to assist our senior population and those with disabilities who otherwise would not have been able to get these tasks off their to do list due to health or financial scenarios.

Habitat Sarnia saw an 18-person crew come from NOVA chemicals to our latest whole home renovation on Bright St, Sarnia. It was demolition day, and demo they did. The NOVA team did more in one day than our small Habitat team could accomplish in a week! It was an excellent partnership for Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton and United Way Sarnia Lambton and we look forward to more local community projects together in the future.
